Momprenuer…what does that mean? For us, it means running a successful business while maintaining our households.
With school ending and summer break approaching ever so fast it can start to feel like things are spiraling out of control. So, we have decided to veer off the path of what we “do” for our customers and offer some tips and tricks on how we Survive our work day as Momprenuers.
To Do Lists:
Yes, yes I know. We have all heard this before, but let me tell you… Write It Down!!!

The simple act of getting it out of our heads and onto a simple scrap of paper can be make all the difference. Don’t get too specific about it either, or it will seem like a never ending list. What does that mean?
Although, I have found the obsessive list is a great tool to getting your significant other to recognize how incredible you are and can get you a nice dinner out of the house. This brings me to tip #2.
Pre-Plan your Meals:
So meal prepping can be a job on its own with cooking the entire weeks meals in one day. That is not exactly what I am proposing, but if it works for you then Go Girl! What I mean is plan out exactly what dinners you are planning on making for the week. Shop specifically for those meals so the ingredients you need are conveniently at home when you need them. Believe it or not, making the dreaded decision as to “what’s for dinner?” is half the battle. Take it a step further and buy your groceries online. For some of you, this may sound crazy, but if you can get those 2 hours back that you spend driving to the Grocery Store, picking out your produce and then waiting in that god forsaken line….Get your TIME BACK ladies!
Speaking of getting your time back, delegation is key.
Delegate:
This is one of those things we all know we need to do, but is hard for most of us Momprenuers. We didn’t get to where we are today by taking it easy and depending on someone else to make the hard choices. Well, sometimes in order to move forward we need to take a step back, back off that is.

Go through your to do list (that’s right, the one we talked about earlier) and pick the items that can be done by someone other than YOU! You may be the one who needs to read through your emails, but you don’t need to be the one who sends out the proposals. Believe me, there are things in your day that can be handed off to someone who is capable of doing a bang up job. If there isn’t, than its time to think about hiring one. FYI, you can do this in your household as well. If you have older children, or “GASP” an abled bodied Spouse, ask for help. Scratch that, don’t ask, Delegate chores and get some of that to-do list scratched off by someone else. Your 11 year old can 100% do the laundry (it may not be folded exactly how you want it, but IT’S FOLDED)
This leads me to one of my favorite keys to being a successful Momprenuer.
Automate when possible:
Let’s go back to that to-do-list again. What on that list can be an automated task? Not sure…Google it! There are apps out there (some of them are even free) that can do amazing things to ensure to put some extra hours back in your day. One of my favorites in Calendly. This takes scheduling appointments right off my list. I send someone a link, and like magic there is an appointment on my calendar with the zoom link already created and ready to use. Who knew!!! There are tons of apps like this one out there, figure out which tasks make you bonkers and start searching for an app that can do it for you.
I would love to hear about some of your tricks that help keep you sane as you balance the demands of both your Work and Home Life.
